Plater Welder / MIG & TIG Welder – Chesterfield
Temp-to-Perm | Competitive Pay | Career Development

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist engineering client based in Chesterfield, who is looking to expand their team with experienced Plater Welders and MIG/TIG Welders. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and growing business, working on bespoke projects within a specialised sector.

Role Overview:
As a key member of the fabrication team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds and fabrications, working from technical drawings and specifications to meet project deadlines. You'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting projects, enhancing your skills and contributing to the delivery of precision-engineered components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication and welding of components using MIG and/or TIG methods
  • Working with mild steel and stainless steel materials
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
  • Ensuring work is completed to the highest standard and within tight deadlines
  • Conducting quality checks on completed work
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Assisting other team members as required

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Overtime opportunities available during peak periods (paid at enhanced rates)

Pay Rates:

  • MIG/TIG Welder: £15.65 per hour
  • Plater Welder: £17.16 per hour

Contract Type:

  • Temp-to-Perm position
  • 12-week probation period with the potential for a permanent role upon successful completion

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a MIG, TIG, or Plater Welder
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A proactive approach and good team player
  • Valid welding qualifications are essential.
