About Work Ready
Work Ready originated from a business need to recruit hundreds of drivers nationwide from a single office in Sheffield. The Work Ready portal has completely digitised our recruitment process, providing an extremely cost effective, client compliant and eco friendly way to recruit.
No more extensive travel, recruitment fairs and mass induction interviews to complete candidate application forms and compliance checks. This is completed seamlessly now through the Work Ready portal, enabling us to continue to recruit nationwide for all job roles and sectors uninterrupted throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
How does Work Ready work?
Work Ready provides an end-to-end hiring solution that has revolutionised our recruitment process. From attracting candidates for specific roles; ensuring they are correctly registered, assessed, inducted and compliant, through to placing them successfully, Work Ready enables seamless integration with front and back office, making the process easier and less stressful.
Candidates apply for jobs advertised on our website or on the various job boards we use, completing a simple online form to submit their interest. A telephone screening call from our onboarding team will assess the candidate’s suitability and answer any questions.
If suitable, the candidate will be given access to our Work Ready portal to complete the application process and watch any bespoke video inductions and/or view any documents our clients wish them to see.
A multiple choice questionnaire will ensure the candidate understood the induction and read any documents required. Failure to correctly answer all questions (3 attempts allowed) will end the application.
The candidate views any documents relevant to the job they are applying for, that the client wishes them to see. For example, the client’s health and safety policy, site safety policy, social media policy, etc. The candidate must acknowledge that they have read and understood these documents.
The candidate will then upload their Right to Work in the UK and any other documentation required using their mobile phone or tablet by simply taking an image or attaching a file from their computer.
The final stage is for the candidate to complete a short declaration specific to the job they are applying for, which will generate a contract (terms of engagement) that is automatically emailed to them.
Saving Time and Resources
Once on-boarded, our workers can log into the Work Ready app from a smart device making it easy for them to submit timesheets and update their availability on-the-go.
Automated weekly reminders ensure timesheets are submitted on-time and availability is kept up-to-date. Our agency staff no longer need to constantly telephone to check our workforce availability, providing a cost effective solution to filling bookings quickly – invaluable if a client needs high volume at short notice.
Workers can submit their timesheets online from their smart device, including imaged receipts of any expenses incurred. Timesheets are collated by the system throughout the week and linked directly to our back-office payroll and invoicing system. Forde Recruitment shares the timesheet data for client authorisation before invoices are raised. No more temp workers chasing down supervisors for a timesheet signature!
